Her hand flew without warning                              
and a resounding bang                                      
burst through the silence of the night.                    
In that moment, Time blinked once-                         
and for 100 years the world stood still                    
in silence, save the ringing in his ears.                  
And when Time's eyes opened once again,                    
he looked away,                                            
as three red rivers commenced flowing.                     
The blood fell from his cheeks like teardrops,             
but it was his heart that she'd pierced.                   
He didn't see it,                                          
but after he'd looked away, her eyes softened,             
and all the anger left her as she realized what she'd done.
But it was too late, for she couldn't take it back.        
And although she tried to say she was sorry,               
it was too late,                                           
he had already faded into the night.
