I have liked songs from childhood. There are songs that are happy, There are songs that are sad. They can transport me to other worlds overfilled with emotion. But if I had to choose between never hearing songs for the rest of my life or never hearing your voice, I would choose to keep you. Because you give me all the emotions of the rainbow. |

It's not intended to say that she makes me sad too, just to mean that she makes me feel vibrantly happy.
Originally considered "never talking to you" or "never seeing you", but felt neither of them conveyed what I meant.
The last two lines the first stanza took a couple of very different attempts before I felt happy with it.
