There are Black Americans who were born with the intelligence charisma or fortitude To scale to the upper classes of income And there are those who lost their way, slipping off of a foothold or unfairly kicked off their perch. But there is also a third class,- those who worked hard and with the same diligence as the first, and who were just never rewarded. And they know that when there are stories of black Americans who worked hard and made it to the top that those stories are embued with survivor's bias. |

Could change "to scale" to "who scaled to.."
There's also a bit of "loser's bias" for some, but this poem is on drawing attention to survivor's bias.
Note: embued is a variant of imbued.
