Tires Squeal the world swirls my life swings on a tether and I grin at the moon. I'm having a hard time keeping my life in the balance. Jack Kerouac didn't have responsibility, scum of the earth. It's hard to fight with a nemesis who's already dead because adrenaline fills your veins but the only way to battle him is on pen and paper. |

Last line was originally "is to confine yourself to paper (and pen, or pen and paper)"
Beginning stanza is inspired by a bike accident, but only as a metaphor for crashing in life.
The world swirls is vertigo.
My life swings on a tether has a double meaning for "my life" (the metaphorical accident one, and the literal one which is the concept and not the noun).
