I wake up separated from you by the vast expanse of the distance between two pillows, with the sunlight streaming through the window and the morning in your eyes and in your smile. Later in the day, I see the backs of your shoulders on the forest trail with the Sun beating down on your freckles and toasting your skin. And after it's dark and we're laying in bed, I see the night-time in your eyes, and I am reluctant to turn off the light because I don't want the beauty of staring into your eyes to end. |
