I wait beneath the stars for your arms to find me,- For I know that your romantic heart yearns for mine as surely as the ocean's waves beat the shore.  Thump, thump. Thump, thump. They crash with that familiar rhythm. Subdued, for they walk with that quiet confidence that surely they will find their love: They are born from miles away knowing they will find the shore someday. Similarly, my miles are measured in years. Surely I have traveled long enough that I must be near you now. Thump, thump. Thump, thump. |

The "Thump, thump. Thump, thump." is metaphor and pun.
Considered "are born" instead of "start from", since it is intended to express something like "born".
But I decided "from" was too important to get rid of, then I considered "are born from" as well.
