When you're not by my side, The world's in two: And I'm the only one on my part. The wind blows the leaves, and they rustle somewhere else- -- where you are. The sun rises, but I see only gray. Piano chords fill my ears, but I know that they are only memories, there is no music, anymore. |

- Inspired by "The Mystery of Love" by Marianne Faithfull (1st stanza is almost exactly her lyrics)
1st stanza: Picturing the world like a tiny broken planet, where only a small chip has broken off (1/50 of the planet and only big enough for one person to stand on, is the 2nd part of the planet where I am)
"The wind blows the leaves and they rustle somewhere else" = that the leaves move silently, and that only in another part of the world, where you are, are there other leaves being blown by the wind that rustle with the rustle of both leaves.
Need a bigger pause after the word "Two" in 1st stanza but not sure how to make the line breaks and punctuation. Probably the ideal solution will involve putting the first 2 lines into one.
"The sun rises, but I see only gray." --> refers to the sunrise itself, watching the sunrise.
