Millennium Hymn: Lord of All Days
1.
Lord of All Days, come shine your light on us
For we are the People of the Dawn
May we reflect your love and vigorous grace
Your faithfulness every morn.
As we stand on the edge of future and past
We wait on you, O Lord.
Your word shall withstand our fashions and plans
Renew us again, O Lord.
Chorus
Your people are willing in the new day of your power
We come to you O Lord.
Receive our praise in this dawning hour
Your kingdom grows ever more.
2. Lord of All Days, we put our trust in you
Though nature may change like the sea.
Though peoples rise and fall we will not fear
For you are our destiny.
Though we climb to the heights of joy and success
Or toil without reward
We promise anew, to follow you
Revive us again, O Lord.
3.
Lord of All Days, you fill us with power to stand
Against sin, and hold on to the truth,
Serve you with honour and muscular love
And claim your promise each breath.
Though we sail seas of change, in seasons of need
and some cling to the past
Your church has a future, her children secure
In Jesus the First and Last.

- This hymn was published on the New Zealand Herald on 1/1/2000, in the Reach Through Time advertising feature. This makes this hymn probably the first song lyrics published in a newspaper in the new millennium.
