Bast's Poetry
Another’s Shoes
By
L. G. Bast
Today I walk
In another’s shoes
Found in a box
In the Attic
My Fathers shoes
We could never agree
So, we rarely tried
No love lost between us
On my side
A silent life
A silent parting
Little or no grief
On my side
Old shoes
Worn shoes
I tried them on
They Fit
Damn it
Today I walk
In another man’s shoes
Found in a box
In the attic
return home
