I have to admit, Dean was my favorite of the Dems. But he did more damage to himself than all the negative ads and opposition research combined ever could. So by default, my next favorite is John Kerry. I?m a little concerned how patrician and, frankly, wooden he is. I?m also worried that most of the boost he?s been getting is from being the default next best candidate after Dean. I hope he?s up to a campaign where he has to bring more to the table than just ?I?m not Howard Dean.?

A friend of mine, Bob, had a good question about Kerry?s war record. What exactly did he do in Vietnam? I knew he?d won the Silver Star, the Bronze Star and three Purple Hearts. But I didn?t know any details. So I'll check.
