More than a decade of my life was spent in this school and I remember all my teachers with utmost reverence. The school has played a major role in moulding me and my outlook of today. I joined here at the tender age of 3 and still remember my Atchan (Daddy) carrying me on the first day to school. The brilliant education received at the hands of qualified and experienced teachers, always kept us ahead in the outside world (my friends too have the same opinion). A very strong foundation was laid here and it still keep me going in this competitive world
The school library was my favourite spot.Extra-curricular activities were given equal importance - Sports Day, Annual School Day....unforgettable moments. It gives a sense of satisfaction to think of the fervour with which preparation was made for the Exams and for the class test papers, to maintain the first position in the class.
I fondly cherish the precious years in this school and owe a great deal to this revered temple of learning and all the teachers out there!
The two turbulent years (Pre-Degree or XI and XII) after school days and before enrolling for the Degree Course was spent in this campus. It was a drab and dull period in the sickening hostel atmosphere of this college. Joined here with the sole aim of getting through medical entrance (my dad daydreamed of getting better coaching here), but it turned out to be wrong decision. N.S.S.college as such and the coaching provided there is good, but the hostel facilities are totally unconducive for an ambitious student.(It is exclusively my personal opinion)
It was a remarkable three year in the campus with vivid memories of college days, hostel life and friends. Like flowers in a garden, we were all exultant, swaying with life and its nicities. Bunking classes, frequent visits to the college canteen, hilarious discussion with friends on a variety of inquisitive topics ranging from White House issues to the handsome chap in the next college, regular and harmless gossipping session every evening, watching star flooded sky and talking galore about our future, attending service in the chapel on Sundays, finding ways to sneak out of the hostel on weekends, frequent visits to Warrens Ice cream parlour, shopping in downtown, college day, hostel day – a life of no woes and worries, no stress and strain. Life was cooool…
Inspite of the freedom enjoyed we all excelled academically and being a Literature student devoid of practicals and record work, there was no dearth of time. Extra hours could be spent in the Library to venture into the vast world of Literature. Quiz Competitions, Essay Competitions, Elocutions, Caption Writing…..there was ample opportunity for chiselling the talents.
The environment was congenial, healthy and spirited and so life and learning was exciting and enlivening in this campus…..
With the establishment of Madurai Kamaraj University in 1966 the College was affiliated to this University and from 1990 to the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. The College which is co-educational has about 1700 students and there are over 115 teaching and 60 non-teaching members
I completed Post Graduation here and the English Dept. of this college is the best in the district. Jude too finished his degree course here. The college library is a treasure hunt for book lovers. Two years in this campus was remarkable. Lecturers are highly experienced and qualified. I really cherished the lectures of most of the teachers. They were simply great!
The school is located in Attoor, Kanyka Kumari Dist, T.Nadu.I am proud to be a product of this Institution – 12 years of my life was spent in the class rooms of this school, starting from LKG to X Std. Though the school has lost much of its old glory today due to various reasons, it was an excellent Institution in those days, the only school in the locale where CBSE syllabus was taught. The school is located in a campus running to acres of land, with all the facilities for the all round development of a growing student. The school has produced many outstanding students currently excelling in various fields
