to look at you each day,
Smile - and pretend everything's okay.
It's a lie for you
to hold me in your arms,
Sigh - but say you want nothing more.
It's a lie for us both
to be so close like we are
Laugh - and deny our hearts.
For every star we looked at that night,
There is another reason why we are sharing this lie,
And ten times that, why our kiss
Would have been so right.
