The Man Who Is Everything

He may have the face of a boy,
But he undoubtedly thinks like a man.
He is affectionate, polite, understanding
And patient even when I’m demanding.
He is humored by my jokes,
And amused by my ways,
Yet captivated by my soul’s luminous blaze.

He is tender, for he knows I am fragile.
He is strong, for he knows sometimes I am weak.
He is dependable, for he knows I will need him.
He is loving, for he knows I will always need his love.
He is playful, for he knows I am still young.
He is giving, for he knows I’m full of wants.
He is sincere, for he knows I am sensitive.
He is honest, for he knows I am true.

For all he is, is all I know,
And for him I am willing to go
Bear my soul naked before him
Solely his for the taking.
With complete faith that he
Readily would take me
With him to heaven, to the stars… far.
