Wildfire!
                     by Eric L. Giese
The wildfire raged on,
engulfing everything in it's path.
Their was indeed Hell to be paid.
Nothing could withstand it's wrath.
The firefighters deserve our praise.
They gallantly fought the blaze back.
Long and hot miserable days.
Our lovely city was under attack.
At long last the heavens opened up.
The rain extinguished the last of the blaze.
If you see a fool toss a cigarette from their car,
let them know this is our city.
Not their ashtray!
