Featuring Art by Dean Pasch

line drawing - "Do I know you?" (c)Dean Pasch

So here I am choosing a text written by myself? Ego trip gone rampant? Probably but this image is not easy to 'pin down' with text - and for me my own words got closest - even though ALL the other texts hit the sense of it. I followed my instinct and it told me - take 'The Exit Man' - Dean
The Exit Man
by Dean Pasch

He let her chew
And she did
Bit deep into his soul
Gobbled up his vanity and puked
On his masculine hard-on

He stood tall
Like Gary Cooper facing time
With sweat and resolve
Shouldering her shoulders
And dreaming of backdoors
Rope and a whisper of tenderness
Denied

She stripped
His muscles and tied him
Together for the sake of past rejections
As if he cared
As if his panting was any more than
Running out of breath for a phantom sperm shoot

She dubbed him
The Exit Man
He liked the irony of never coming
Loved her talk of anatomy
And the way she charted his desire
Like how maps miss the space between heart beats

They smashed their compass long ago
Ground the broken glass
And ate it before kissing
Spat out blood and licked passion
The way a boxer fights on
Without the gum guard
The way a rogue razor blade
Seeks the vein

She finished chewing
Took the razor
And sliced deep
The Exit Man liked it like that
She didn't care either way

There you go
