More News - January through June 2007
It is official! Nate and Julia are 2 and 3...and life has never been more fun-filled (or hectic!). Since I haven't updated this page in a while, here are a few more updates from the year:
A Walker & A Talker! February, 2006

In January, Julianna Rose joined older brother Nate on his first birthday! My mother-in-law found a new job in the spring. In June, Mike’s sister married Mr. W.. After the wedding, we visited Mike's dad in Boston then spent a glorious week on the Cape. Our time in Cape Cod made us realize our "little" family had outgrown apartment living and we started our home search in July.
Thank you for visiting Family News at wheelermushlinweb.com. Please come back and visit again!
A few days after her first birthday, Julia began to walk full-time, reserving crawling for under table retrievals and pretend time. Nate's speech has taken off since then also. He is saying new words every day, including "Ennie" for Ernie on Sesame Street, "Sissy" referring to Julia, and "Pane!" for airplanes. Also, as of last Friday, Julia has figured out how to drink from a straw! Watch out world, the Mushlin babies are becoming a force to be reckoned with.
Congratulations to Julia for reaching the grand, young age of one, and Nate for hitting two years of age. Thanks to all who helped them celebrate. Nate now thinks the Fed-Ex truck is called "birthday" and anxiously awaits its arrival each day. :-)
2005 In Review
Our new house is in La Grange, Kentucky. We love our new town! There is a fantastic main street and a stately courthouse downtown. We live on a quiet cul-du-sac that only has one street lamp, making stargazing a reality for us most every night.
In August we also welcomed two new members to our family, two year old Vizsla-Pointer mixes named Major and Deuce. Nate has fallen head over heels in love with these dogs. Every morning the first thing he says when he awakes is “Dog! Dog!” Julia likes the dogs...when they are sleeping! Otherwise they are a little bit too highspeed for her.
In November, my brother Tom visited. He was our first house guest! We had a lovely Thanksgiving in our new home. Incidentally, Mike and Tom went out for some coffee and came back with the newest member of our family, Finnegan. Finn is our eleven week old kitten.
