Cell Phone

Everytime I am with you
Your attention is diverted
By the helltone ring of your cell phone.

Always another woman
An ex-wife, a roommate, a long lost friend.
If I had my way I would put it to an end.
I don't believe your attention should be swayed
From worshipping me
From laughing
From our conversations.

The ringing is making my head spin.
You seem more interested in the phone
And I feel so alone
When you laugh and talk with another
Occasionally shushing me to be quiet
With a frantic, hand-waving gesture.

I think that you are my best friend

So instead of pressing "Send"
For my sake, please, press "End".
