~Bounds of friendship~

Far more than words could say
Far better than lovers may
I seek you in a special way
I feel you on this passing day

Once upon a time were strangers
Words drew them a little closer
Together, whenever with eachother
Bounds of friendship grew forever

I lean my head and close my eyes
I hear your pain, I see your cries
Across boundaries, my helping hand
Reaches out to say "I understand"

I wish sorrows to turn to cheers
For years are made of joys and tears
Tomorrow will soon become today
For today will be a yesterday.

I wrote this poem for a friend.
Sometimes there isn't much to say, all we can do is wait for today to become a yesterday.
