I thought of you today
I thought of you today,
When I woke from misty dreams,
Of sweet release and turned away,
From blissful sleep in distance realms,
That call me back to where you are,
My sleepy eyes lift to gaze,
Upon your face so dear,
Bitter tears fall from eyes that stay,
On a pillow I now hold near,
A whispered thought perhaps to wing,
Its lonely way to you.
And in your ears the angels sing,
My words of love so true.
