Final Fall

I had chills all that one September morning
But I didn't know why
Until I turned on the television
And saw flames burst into the sky
Then I shed nothing but tears
And stood in devastation
As you shook our nation with nothing but hatred
For our freedom we hold sacred
I watched those helpless souls
Stand at the Tower's edge
Only waiting to plunge to their death
I heard the voices of heroes say their last goodbyes
To their loved ones, children, husbands and wives
I guess I'll never understand
How someone can be so cold, yet be so bold
To take so many human lives in their hands
And to act as though they're God just to take a stand
Because it is here in the USA
Where you find freedom and justice for all
But now it is YOU who will take the FINAL FALL.
Dedicated to the tragedy of September 11th, 2001.
