Honesty

So I couldn't sleep again
Too many thoughts dancing in my head
I keep playing that day over in my mind
If only I could turn back time
And take back the hurt you felt
When I was honest with myself
But only you saw it so much different
And I lost you in an instant
So now I sit here alone
With nothing but you on my mind
Hoping you'll find it in your heart
To understand in time that I did all I could
Please don't shut me out for good
Because no matter what you feel
This pain will continue to follow you and me
Until we face my honesty
