I remember your voice like it was yesterday
Remember how we would laugh and play?
We'd stay up late and talk
Go for those really long walks
Sing silly songs and dance
Daydream of love and romance
We were such the best of friends
Then that fateful day came
You were told things would soon change
I couldn't understand why God
Would take you so soon
That's something only he knew
The angels completed their task
You reached the end of your path
It was your time to be with God again
So you went back to heaven
It wasn't my time yet
God said I had to let you go
