MY YOUNG LOVE
Once like you, I was young.
And I listened to love songs they have sung.
Now those days are long gone away.
But, in my mind the memories will always stay.
Even though all these years have past...
My memories are vivid and they will last.
In a way I mourn all my lost days.
I wish to get back my youthful ways.
Love seemed so young and fresh.
Sometimes it was just the attraction of the flesh.
The excitement of it was so vast.
Everyone was sure it would last.
I remember my very first sweetheart.
We lost touch when we went to college apart.
In spite of the years' fast pace.
In my mind I stil see and treasure his face.
