on my shoulders
lay a heavy load
holding me back
from my chosen road
but in a dream
i looked to the sky
smiled, i watched a bird fly by
for that was my journey
the bird was me
flying in search
of my destiny

The Endless Knot
Can love but scend me hic et ubique,
in thine arms of conceit,
drawn in circles: sweet swirling madness;
in swarms to my anger withdrawn.
Like pain in hatred concealed in thee, in I,
like with wit of thine, behind the spirals;
I scream thunder to follow your lightning.
I buffer the wind and waves.
I batter the angels and railing.
Railing at the brackish sky,
a dashing, rakish man-child.
I am bell-man, and belesprit, my words a lee of laughter;
but by thy part the tempest driven; on mine,
in mind of it all, in lieu of me
Playing the nascent lark, with an illusory
inspection, lovely heir of perfection;
lovely son of the air in dreams make thee
laugh at the dark.
part dream, thee part with thy fear, of love
and me; of my endless knot-work of dreams.
