FATHER        SON       HOLY SPIRIT

A Fact of Faith

On November 9, 1998 around 8:30a.m. I received a sure message that God

is hearing my prayers. I was sitting in my work place at the front desk.

I was operating the front reception desk as normal. We have 2 sets of

glass double doors, which are kept unlocked during business hours. You

open the first door and then take two steps and open the second door and

I then greet you. A vender walked in that I have not seen in a long time, we

both said long time no see. He signed the visitors log at the reception

area and proceeded in the building to complete his pickup. The vender

made a few trips using the back door for access. I received some reading

material from B. P. Church from Mr. B.L. I Was reading

one pamphlet Five Steps of Christian Growth. I was following alone the

pamphlet using my Bible to reference the workbook (also I had the Radio

on Praise 106.5FM). I came to page five of the pamphlet and reached

the Topic "Facts To Put Your Faith In". The pamphlet instructed me to

read Revelation 3:20. So I proceeded to read the first line ("Behold, I

Stand at the door and knock") as I read that line, I heard a knock at the

front door, I looked up and the vender was standing there looking at me

through the glass door. The vender had returned to the front door of my

company and was knocking. My heart rate increased to a point where I had

to catch my breath. I have work with this company for several years,

and not once has any body knocked at the second set of front doors,

because you can just walk right in.. So I asked why did he knock at that

time because he knew the doors were open, he hunched and smile and said he just wanted to get my attention.

I told him what had just happened and he was blessed with a huge smile and a sense of awe.

He then told me he attends church 3 times a week. He wrote down what had

just happened, and said he could not wait to tell his mother, he signed out and left. A Fact of Faith. God's timing is perfect.

Gossip or Gospel

Have you ever been in a conversation and the person talking with you insist that they know all about you. Now, you have never met this person before, but they know people who either knew you or knows you. So they start to tell you about yourself without even asking for true information from you because they are confident in their sources.

I remember being like that same person with God ((John 1:1-4) 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.) In my mind, I knew enough about God to get through life, and well, eternal life ((John 5:24) 24 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.") was a different topic, something I would push behind me.

I could tell you things about God ((Proverbs 30:6) 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.) from hearsay and what I derived in my mind. Now there was and is this source called the Bible ((2 Timothy 3:16, 17) 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.) and this place called Church ((Acts 2:42, 46-47) 42 They joined with the other believers in regular attendance at the apostles' teaching sessions and at the Communion services and prayer meetings. 46 They worshipped together regularly at the Temple each day, met in small groups in homes for Communion, and shared their meals with great joy and thankfulness, 47 praising God. The whole city was favorable to them, and each day God added to them all who were being saved.) (Living Bible)

Well this was something I did not need, because I knew God so why would I seek him or seek a resource on him, that does not make any sense.

The instructor gives you a Book and tells you this will count for your final grade of the year. Read this Book and I'll test you next week. Well I've been holding an "A" all year (everything is well) and I know my stuff, so what could be in that Book that I do not already know! The day of the test, the one and only question was "What is the Author's name on page one?" Needless to say there was not a retake available.

Do you really know God, or are you like that person who knows without going to the source for Truth?

((Bible, John Chapters 1-21 ) John writes this Gospel to present Jesus, the powerful Son of God, who comes in human flesh, gives his life on the cross, and then returns to the Father--all with a view that we may believe in him and receive eternal life. His coming shows us how much the Father and Son love us, and his parting command is that we should show the same sacrifice love to one another.)

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

Testimony

On November 1, 1999 I was walking to my point of destination and I was a bit behind schedule. I whispered to God that I could use a ride right about now to help me be on time. About a minute after that a jeep like vehicle pulled over and the gentleman I had never met before, rolled down his window and asked if I needed a ride. Praise God, I said yes and got in. As we started on our way, I told him of my request to God and he replied God is always on time. Praise God again, he had put me in the presence of a Christian brother, who was also at the time listening to Praise 106.5FM. My God is an awesome God and I acknowledge Him before man. Needles to say I arrived early. God talks to us often and He hears us all the time and he does things just like He did today to let us know He hears. A Fact of Faith.
