When I was young I was lost in a world
Of cowboys and pirates it all was so real
Now that I'm older and no longer free
The pressures of life is all that I feel
My backyard hasn't changed it still looks the same
Just leave me alone I'll be lost in a world

The gold in my backyard was real at the time
As I grew older I knew it would end
The games and the fantasies were all in my mind
Old age was killing this life of pretend
The toys in my room are waiting for me
Just leave me alone I'll be lost in a world
