The first part of his life was quiet, little about him was known,
Jesus carried a heavy burden, and bore it all alone.
Early in life He knew there was a plan He must fulfill,
and had no other goal in life but to do His Father's will.
He knew that for centuries his people had been living under a curse,
Not only were they doing evil, each generation was getting worse.
So God made a plan of atonement, a covenant of Sacrifice:
They could offer the blood of a lamb when their lives were stained by vice.
And God would acknowledge their sin had been covered up that day.
He'd recognize their offering, - and look the other way.
The people became so wicked, He finally sent His Son,
Who would take on himself the blame for everything they had done.
The shame, the scourge, the agony, they were to be the price
for full and complete atonement, the ultimate sacrifice.
And today, when man is evil, living in degradation and shame,
There is now full forgiveness, if We ask in Jesus name.
Telling God we are sorry we have caused such pain to him,
Because we chose the wrong path and lived a life of sin.
Because of His Word He hears us and cleanses within and without,
and leaves our hearts so pure there isn't any doubt
that Jesus is our Savior and our future is no more dim,
And we can be joyful and happy, Loving and serving Him.
