It takes a long time to develop a talent
Into something Jesus can use,
It takes a great deal of meditation
To eliminate our human views
To be of service to the Master
And be prepared and sure,
One's mind functions cleaner and faster,
When thoughts are spiritually pure.
Your prayer life and Bible devotions
Must echo thanksgiving and praise,
Giving God all your emotions
Which could hinder in many ways,
Focusing mental abilities
On studying God's Holy word,
Assured by these facilities,
When the voice of God is heard.
Avoiding noxious contentions
And arguments even though slight,
For these are human weaknesses
And unpleasing in God's sight.
Being attentive to God's Holy Voice,
Let Him Know it's His face you seek,
Being His servant is your first choice,
And always be Humble and meek.
Always emanating the Savior,
Giving the Gospel at any cost,
By your love and behavior,
Jesus will win the Lost.
