Circumstances

When circumstances make you wonder
Will tomorrow be a better day?
Can I improve the situation
And make things go a different way?

There's a very simple answer
To the quandary in your mind,
You cannot change the future
By thinking plans of any kind.

Concentration will not help you
With a solution you desire,
And certainly will not afford
The peace of mind that you require.

But the God of all Creation
Has all the galaxies in his hands,
And though your problems may be rough,
He completely understands,

This life has many ups and downs
And trials, disappointments and pain,
And the creator of the whole Universe
Allows them again and again

All the traditions of Nature,
Of gravity and waves of the sea,
The measures of space and mathematics,
And the Sciences all agree.

God does not alter one second
In the Orbit of Planet or star,
Nor does He control the path
Of a drunk at the wheel of a car.

The best decision you can make
is read your Bible and constantly pray
If God won't change the path of a drunk,
God will keep you out of his way
