Child of mine, do not despair; I have not forgotten thee;

Can the way be so obstructed or the road be so impaired

Child of mine, be not afraid to cast your load on me.
Is any load so heavy that I cannnot deliver thee?
Has he burdened mind forgotten the joy that love can bring?
Can your heart be so heavy that I cannot make it to sing?
Is anything impossible if I am by your side?
Can you stumble and fall when I your footsteps guide?
Can any problem of your heart be at all too hard for me?
Be still and know, my child, that I have guided thee.
Lean not upon the stranger, nor press onward all alone,
But know that as surely as my blood for thee will atone,
The darker be the night, the rougher the path may be
the stronger to build thy faith when I show my will to thee.
