Are you one who goes through life, complacent day by day,
Being totally undisturbed by the things you do and say,
Taking no thought for the future nor of whatever amount of time
That will be allowed to transpire before the end of a life sublime?
Life is going along smoothly, you're enjoying pretty good health,
And although you're not accumulating any reasonable amount of wealth,
You take a good deal of comfort from the knowledge that you try
To keep up with the Jones's and do more than just get by.
You always help your neighbor, whenever there's a need,
Because doing good unto others has always been your creed.
Whatever life has handed you, you have always done your best,
But you haven't given much thought to when you take the final test.
It's almost certain you're aware that there's a God who knows you well,
And it's also very likely you've heard there's a place called Hell.
Both statements, if you've read your Bible, are completely correct,
You'll get to know one by prayer, and the other by neglect,
Now God said in His Word, the Penalty for Sin is Death,
And sin's reward is a fiery Hell when you've taken your last breath.
But God sent his only Son to meet your destiny
To pay sin's penalty of death and set the sinner free.
What you need to do is repent of all your sin,
And let God's son, Jesus make you clean and new within.
Most important of all, you'll escape a fiery Hell,
And in Heaven with Jesus you'll forever and ever dwell.
