If there's a single Mother living in your block
And she's depending on Christ the Solid rock
With a very low income, she's trusting in the Lord
For all the medication that she cannot afford
And her child needs these life-giving drugs,
And the Holy Spirit comes to your heart, and tugs
To let you know you can ease that fateful demand,
Out of God-given surplus, You can lend a helping hand.
If there's a needy family living on your street
And they only know the pangs of defeat.
The wage-earner isn't earning any wage,
Those around him feel the impact of his rage,
Because He's disabled they all must do without
Food and shelter, and there's simply no way out.
You can let Jesus minister through you
By helping them with whatever you can do.
If you see a ragged tramp on the street
And you know He's had nothing to eat
You can make him a lot more willing to hear
All about Jesus and the message of cheer,
Start with His stomach and the hunger within,
Then you can witness about his guilt and sin.
Wherever you want to sow the gospel seed
You'll have a more willing audience if you meet a need.
For sometimes you'll find the most desperate case
Is a need to find someone with love on their face
For sometimes the only thing you can do
Is let Jesus love somebody else through you.
What a glorious feeling will arise in your heart
When you know that the Lord has given you a part
In the life of someone with a drastic need,
And what you did was listen and heed,
When Satan had someone so filled with despair,
And God trusted you to show that you care,
And has showed you a most important way
To Bring Souls to Jesus - every day.
