Life is a journey on a road that's sometimes rough,
But happy anyway, if you're determined enough
That whatever you do on this road to Destiny
Will affect others if you've kept integrity.
Someone special will come along whom God has sent your way
to whom honor and truth have the strongest part to play
in a relationship whose morals never bend
And seeks what can never be bought, a real, true friend.
Who doesn't pause at obstacles, sickness or strife
that would cause desperation to a Husband or wife,
But one upon whom you can always depend -
To be there, with courage, when you just need a friend.
One who hears your problems and knows just what to say
That will give you inner strength, and brighten up your day.
One who guides you to a path that heaven will allow,
One who knows your weaknesses and loves you anyhow.
Who goes right to the throne of God if you should have a need,
whose prayers are for your safety and the life you lead,
although these kinds of friends are as scarce as can be
They really do exist because these friends are you and me.
