The paths of this life are sometimes tedious,
The mountains sometimes High,
The roadways are sometimes very rough
And roadblocks we can't pass by.
So many obstacles in our way
and there is no turning around,
And we create our own future
If our decisions in life are sound.
But sometimes interruptions
Will alter best laid plans,
And then we turn toward God
Whose ways are higher than man's.
If we haven't known Him before,
Or kept him just out of Range,
We can't drop everything and Call Him,
Expecting our lives to change.
For He has emotions and feelings
Just like you and me,
And lives in those who love Him
And worship Him constantly.
God is always there to help them
No matter how dark the way,
Clearing away the obstacles,
And turning their night to day.
They're always full of love and joy,
They're always in one accord,
Because they really know God,
And He is their Master and Lord.
Now if we would be just like them,
And make a brand new start,
We begin by asking forgiveness
For the sin that's in our heart.
Accepting his Son Jesus
Who died to make us free,
Then we'll know God the Father,
And He'll know you and me.
