God sent His only Son to live upon the earth,
And even began that life with a humble, lowly birth
To show us the way He planned, this way, and no other,
Joy and peace and happiness comes by loving one another.
So God, in loving wisdom, created a marvelous need
That has more fulfilling satisfaction than any other mortal deed:
He gave us the need to be loved, the same as to laugh and cry,
Then gave us the need to love, with an unending, vast supply.
So, if one need exists in the life of my Sister or my Brother,
God just supplies that need, by filling me with the other.
Now YOU can talk with your neighbor
And speak words of love and peace,
And give the love that comes from God. That love will never cease.
You'll open a perpetual supply because the love you talk about
Pours into you much faster than you can pour it out
Soon, you'll find, the love that fills your heart and life
Has crowded out every trace of sadness, hurt and strife.
AND, YOU RECEIVE THE JOYOUS BLESSING
AND THE ADDED KNOWLEDGE, TOO,
THAT YOU ALLOWED GOD TO LOVE
SOMEBODY ELSE THROUGH YOU.
