Count it all joy, my Friend, when temptations come to you.
You'll find that in the Bible, James, Chapter one, verse two
But James didn't have my problem, I can hear you say,
If He didn't know, how could He have talked that way?
He said that because there's something you must learn,
That Patience is a virtue, and one that you must earn.
Patience comes with temptations and trials you endure,
And patience will make your Faith in God more secure
If we are to walk and talk with the Lord each day
We must expect to endure life's trials along the way.
There is no doubt that the trials will surely come
And they will probably be a down fall to some.
But When the storms come and your Faith is sorely tried
You have a safe haven, a place where you can hide.
This haven is prayer and the place is on your knees,
For all doors can be opened with Heaven's golden keys.
For patience will have done it's Precious work
And cleared your sky where the dark clouds lurk.
Clouds of discouragement, sadness and woe,
giving you that Joy within wherever you go.
Because Endurance comes amid clouds of doubt
If you're trusting Jesus to help you out
You’ll find that the patience James says to employ
Really does bring you unspeakable joy.
