How many people are going to church and putting on an act,
Making others think they're Christians and ignoring the fact
That Jesus sent his Servant to describe the cleansing tide
That washes away the sin that's been kept hidden inside?
When Jesus trod that bitter walk up Golgotha's hill,
He bore your load of Sin, and it was the Father's will
That you should look to Calvary, leaving there your pain and guilt,
The foundation is there on which your salvation was built.
The truth that Jesus not only shed his blood and died
And arose from the grave in victory, cannot be denied.
It was for your sins and mine that Jesus died in agony,
And it was his resurrection that cleansed and made us free.
And all He wants, for your freedom is to call upon his name,
Then you won't need to act anymore and you'll never be the same
The joy that freedom brings will be shining in your face
And everyone will see in you a measure of God's grace.
No longer any need to walk in pretense or facade
For you'll be a redeemed, genuine child of God.
Who found a life of Glory, joy and victory,
Redeemed by the blood of Jesus, saved and set Free.
