For years your whole existence has been an old infirmity
You've endured life's trial, at times, to extremity.
You surrendered all to Jesus, but the burden you have borne
Because of pain and suffering, your faith is thin and torn.
The Doctors and Scientists cannot seem to agree
On the right kind of treatment for your disability.
For years you have wallowed in the throes of self remorse
Thinking pain and sickness are part of life's course.
You've said: "Why did God let this happen to me",
Because He didn't come up with some kind of remedy.
Accidents and sickness and pain are part of life,
Disease and weather, war and strife.
God did not create them, they're elements of sin
Author of all the evil thoughts that come from within.
But you can avoid them by making Jesus your choice,
And when you've done that, listen for His voice.
Don't let your heart be hardened because of disability
But follow the admonition of Hebrews Chapter three,
And give your full attention to the Precious Holy Ghost,
Communication with you is what He does the most.
You've been trying to listen through a veil of tears,
He's been trying to reach you all these years.
So put your pain and problems High upon a shelf,
Don't spend your time thinking about your self.
The Holy Ghost is waiting, right there by your side,
Open up your heart and let Him come inside.
Let Him take the worries and depression, too,
And start doing the work the Master has for you.
