And if, just this once, you turned out to be right, would it produce the happiness you've longed for day and night? Wouldn't it be marvelous if the choice was wrong today, to awaken bright tomorrow with joy and gladness anyway?
To know that in the morning as the shadows all depart, though sleep was so illusive, there's still peace within your heart? There's a way that you can know, even if the choice be wrong, no matter what the outcome, your heart will have a song.
You can know your heart is right in all you do and say, and in any situation be calm, and serene, today. God's eternal law was sacrifice, blood must be shed for sin. No other way was provided to relieve the guilt within.
And you cannot hide misdeeds and wrongs away up on a shelf, with tortured nights and endless days, you carry that load yourself. But God's son, Jesus, loves you and came to pay that penalty, taking upon Him your guilt and shame and forever set you free.
The answer then is so easy, just try this simple test: Say "Jesus, I'm sorry, forgive me" and His shed blood does the rest. Now, you'll still have ups and downs no matter what you do, but joyous days and peace at night because Jesus died for you.
