I was a Jill in the box.
No one cared to hear my tune.
All I needed, was a good arm crank,
To laugh, smile, and croon.

I heard them dancing in my darkness.
Shear laughter could be heard.
I didn't need them anyway,
As they ignored my every word.

I was a Jill in the box,
Getting ready for my part.
They all chose to ignore me,
And broke my broken heart.

I cried in my darkness,
As I stood there on my own.
Then, the sun was shining;
The golden rays in brilliance shone,
In the darkest box, that
the world had left alone.

Whoever would have thought,
Savior Jesus would come to me that night,
To hold this box close to His Heart,
And, crank my arm so tight.

The music played so sweetly,
As beauty filled the air.
I popped out smiling freely,
As I saw Greatest Lord Jesus
standing there.
