Ace of Hearts

My chips were down,
I was forced to play.
The cards were cut
and shuffled.
I was playing with
the cheat, one day.
Sometimes, he'd let me win,
But with his sly, cunning grin,
He’d steal my card and scuffle.

All my cards turned black.
I was just a wreck.
I looked around and saw,
No one was playing
with a full deck.
The thief had the cards,
they lacked.
This card game started
in the Land of Eden,
When a joker went wild.
Deception touched the
ace of diamonds,
As Satan lied, stoled,
destroyed, and smiled.
He thought he had the
winning hand.
He thought this
from the start.
Jesus came and played
the Trump Hand.
He was the Ace of Hearts.

Jesus, the only One
with a full deck,
Who played it fair and square.
The only One to destroy the cheat,
And with His Winnings, share.

Yes, that snake thought he had it all,
With all of his stolen cards in place.
All the pain and agony, he caused,
As he slapped humanity’s face.
There was One,
he didn’t count upon.
It was God’s Winning Ace.
