DIED TO MEET ME THERE

Who knows how far down I must go,
Before I see God's Love flow;
Before all of heaven opens up the sky,
To hold me warmly,
And envelope me with Love?

There are not always stormy clouds above,
Or I feel pain and cry;
But, when I stand to account for me,
What can I say, Heaven,
When it is hell that torments me?

How far down must I go,
Before I see God's Sunrise Show,
And, I am completely free,
Basking in His Sunlight,
To be everything God made me to be?

Knowing wrong from right.
How broken with pain must I bear,
Before I see God Standing there,
In all His Glory and Splendor stare,
And, I must account for me?

Alone, I'm nothing but a cinder in His Hand.
He's the One who gives True Life
to a thing called man.
He's the One who sustains the earth,
the sky, the sea, the land.

Who understood where I had been,
Or knew my deepest, darkest sin,
And, loved me anyway?

Who else was my Truest Friend,
And saw my trials and triumphs land,
And gave more than a damn?
Jesus knows how far I must go,
Before True blessings start to flow.

Jesus is the One with Mercy and Love,
Decency to stand.
The One that put the rules in heart,
And gave His Guiding Hand.

A God who knows the heartaches,
The smite in brother's eye,
The trouble that one carries,
And the tears that one must cry.

He knows all about us,
We are numbered to our hair.
I know not how far I must go,
With heavy cross to bear
But, a God of Compassion,
Died to meet me there.

When, I must account for me,
Through sin and all its pain,
I hope God brings the sunshine,
And a rainbow to the rain.
