Nothing Else Will Do

I was in the field, planting seeds;
wondering who took God
and where could He be?
What good was anything,
without God in my sight,
And, I was really hurting,
all that day and night.
The next day,
I held the seeds in my hand,
Then, held them to my heart.
I thanked God for the harvest,
and these seeds harvest had brought.
I wanted God.
Oh, where could He be?
Nothing really mattered but,
true God here with me.
Most Gracious God,
So Kind and Good,
Who has taught man to
live the way he should.
Love and Forgiveness
in His Heart,
To Lead, Guide, and never depart.
I longed to dance within His Grace,
Though I could not see His Face.
I touched the dirt
and knew I was bad enough.
Deep in my heart,
was His Truest Love.
Nothing mattered,
but His Deepest Care.
The world had nothing,
without Him there.
Yes, I was a sinful mourner.
Then, the Lord,
He turned the corner,
And, I ran to meet Him.
At last,
I heard His Gracious Laughter.
Could my tired feet go any faster?
This story is true,
Cause, when you have the Best,
Nothing else will do.
