Tumbleweed

I.
When hard times hit
And loneliness sets in
It is still there
To remind us
That life exists
Somewhere, anywhere out there
Despite everything else
More tumbleweed on the journey of life!
It keeps us rolling
Onto the difficult moments
And rest stops of our existence
II.
All of a sudden in the arid desert
A beacon of hope is spotted
We quickly realize
It is unmoveable, unshakeable
The mountains are still there
So are the rocks against which
Our life is anchored
Tumbleweed
The wind blows it away every which way
To the horizon, to a far away place
It’s all gone to the abyss once for all!
Never were we alone
On the harshest leg of our journey!
Tumbleweed reappears on the road,
A potent and clear sign showing us
All along we were two
On the very journey
Of our life

Tumbleweed of tumbleweeds
Startle us with your continuous appearance
So hope may be reborn
As we gaze upon the peak
Of the mountain
We have incentives to travel
We become fearless
Over hills, mounts and valleys
Tumbleweed summons
Our courage to face
Life’s very misadventures
Through natural, ever-present
And constant obstacles, we will go on
Our way until we reach once for all
The mountaintop, our dream of dreams,
The prize we have coveted for so long.
