However miserable, desperate and scared you may be
There'll always be someone there for you
To comfort you, to talk to,
Someone upon whose shoulders you can cry
For love is not all gone
From the face of this earth.
Life gives you surprises and shock of horror
In return, surprises give you life and many reasons
To serve and strengthen our bonds
From mere acquaintances, we may become
True brothers and sisters
II.
However sad you may oftentimes feel
I am sure that you'll find a smile
From a stranger's beautiful face
Strangers as well as former foes
Will reach out to you in moments of tribulation
How many times have you forgotten
To take time to enjoy
The little things that we hold dear
Nature displays them all around us:
The security of family life,
Seeing the future in little children
A sparrow's morning chirping and songs
The convenience of life and comfort
Whatever needs or problems may arise,
You will still have your mind to devise
Means to solve them
Work is your dignity, your brand
Jumping to the rescue of complete strangers,
Your calling, a new mission!
Worship education, a passport
To your lifestyle of choice
Value brotherhood and community actions
III.
However poor and broken-hearted you may be,
Have faith in He who calls you to the task
"I will not forsake you," he promised.
And that undescribable richness
That the naked eyes of the ordinary person
Can't perceive or see.
It's an internal peace
That reaches the very fibers of my being.
IV.
Take time to look within and around you
We might have been downtrodden once or twice
You may be vegetating in that abyss,
In the valley of shadows
Expect a glimmer of hope, a flashlight
And a hand to rescue you, a hand you can hold onto
A well-lit exit may be near,
Hang in there, for delivery is around the corner
Because life always has an exit door
For those who are patient, diligent and resourceful
For any one who is serious about it.
