I knew that you would wander to the edges (3/10/02) I knew that you would wander to the edges they deliberately pushed you in the center you could not see above their large white oval bodies and your eyes were terrorized by the erratic motion at eye level of black steel shanked limbs, your fragile frame tossed this way stumbling quite often on the trampled ground below, you needed to amble a little distance away from this madness the pass ahead was your big chance you stepped aside, they moved forward, faster than you thought, you didn’t even have a second chance to rethink your move, free at last for a moment though! that was as refreshing as the cool breeze calling your from the open vale below excitement filled your little lamby self you bounced in circles like a playful doe in the midst of this vast expanse you had never seen them before, that is, when you were in the core and I was somewhat relieved by your safety and by the protection of the larger group but this latter twirl was a bit too liberating and your rear leg fell into a rocky rut your frame slammed into briared thistle you turned your head to assess the damage and a large thorn drew blood from your sweet face, drops of red coagulated on the sand below after emitting little puffs of dust the scent of your misfortune was driving them to frenzy, but frenzy of an ordered type I viewed them as they circumscribed positions around you, already tasting their prize your loud pitiful bleats were far beyond the range of your previous support group you had missed in that routine the depth and beauty of nurture you reflected on this in your folly sobbing “No one would e’er truly love me now!” when the pack saw Me coming, they were mortified, they thought that I had been brutally nailed to a stake they scattered whelping turning and cursing Me ejaculating streams of drool as they retracted into the distance, their barking quickly faded away you recognized Me through big eyes pooled with tears, you knew that I had always loved you as I released your from your snare I gently placed your tired wounded body over my shoulders we talked, you decided to return to the nine and ninety with renewed zest knowing now that I had always been there with you (Capitalized pronouns refer to God only) (Ref: Luke 15: 4-7)
