and think my love much better things (2/9/99) your rise to fame has placed you out of reach, when you set out you were quite free and yearned your love (not footprints on the beach, just fading on the shore) to see!? our pain need not continue any more, and only for this love i live there is no other person i adore, with just poor poetry to give and Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet did testify that true love dies such grief! (the faces of two fools were wet) but my love such a fate defies i’d rather spend my twelfth night with my dear than have her off in distant lands! (with courage in one’s heart one need not fear) so do not tear our dream to strands! and lost in spheres of queens and kings for you there be one pair of hands and think, my love, much better things than shallow steps on wave-washed sands
