When Once, Upon a Dream

Well I'm not your average Joe,
Roses aren't my style - I much prefer the Colorado Columbine,
I enjoy laying in bed - Cuddled up, reading a book of mine.

You may think I'm lame,
But I feel no shame.
Enjoy your beer, have some sex.
I'll be here, thinking of my ex.
As time slides on, I'll be moving on.

Well I've been here, waiting for so long.
I'm tired of this game, won't you come along.
We'll go to Colorado - lost in the mountains,
Nowhere to go, but we'll be just fine,

You may think me strange,
But I feel no pain.
Enjoy the needle, go smoke some pot.
I'll be here, wasting life away.
As the time passes by, I, I will be just fine.

I remember back, about a year ago,
I was all alone, and I felt so fine.
But now I've had you, and I'm left with this emptiness,
Sometimes I feel I don't even know myself anymore.

When once, upon a dream of you,
I was walking in the sand, holding your hand,
Well I guess my time, It has yet to come,
I'll be here for some time, as I wait for you,
The one for me, whom I cannot see.
