STARLIGHT by JOHN PROCKNER

Starlight

Where are you? I know you were in my hand.
And now I look and you are gone.
But are you really? Maybe its just an illusion.
Ahh, I know. Let me gently blow on my hand.
There you go, straight to the evening sky.
I knew you were the brightest star in the sky.
It was so nice that you let me hold you for a while.
Let others see your light, so they may know your light.
Oh I see, you are there for lovers to watch,
and for the children to see, with their widest of eyes.
To look at you with wonder.
Just how bright and just how far you may be.
I feel blessed that I held you for a moment.
Your glow shall remain in me.
I will pass your glow on to all that I touch.
And I shall touch the world!
