All that Remains
Christmas has vanished, put up in it's box,
Along with the candles and toyfilled socks.
Gone are the garlands, wreaths, ribbons and bows,
The Christmas lights, pine tree and all that glows.
I've packed up the humble nativity scene,
All of it, creche, hay, snow and each figurine.
Away went Baby Jesus, Joseph and Mary,
Poinsettia,mistletoe and bright holly berry.
Still burning in our hearts, to last all year long,
Remains the Christchild, the Gospel's Sweet Song.
